JFK

John F. Kennedy International is located 12 miles (20km) from Lower Manhattan. JFK is New York City's biggest and busiest airport and the main airport for international air traffic serving the USA. Getting into New York from JFK is straightforward. It takes 30-40 minutes to Midtown Manhattan by train. Alternatively, take the bus, which serves Grand Central, Penn Station and Port Authority. Or of course the famous yellow cab.

Newark

Newark Liberty International is in New Jersey and is only 14 miles (24km) from midtown Manhattan. The main advantage of flying into Newark is that it is a quieter airport, while still offering good transport links into the city.

La Guardia

La Guardia is the smallest of New York's three main airports, mostly handling domestic flights. It is only 8 miles from Manhattan with plenty of public transport to use.
