When to Travel

In beautiful South America, the best time to visit is September to November as you explore the cities with less tourists around and a slightly less hot temperature from the humid and hot summers. These months are when most of the continent experience spring like conditions.

April to June - During these months the sea is at its warmest, so this is the best time to go snorkelling off the coast. Also, the prices are usually lower and there are less tourists visiting. Also, there’s no better month than May to visit the Galapagos Islands as there’s calm waters and the conditions are just amazing. There’s little chance of rain and less visitors.

June to August - If you love skiing, you can still go in south America. The best places to go for the winter experience are Portillo, Nevados de Chillan and La Parva as these places have great snow and amazing ski resorts. However, some places are warm all year round so if you want to experience the warm weather you can visit Northern countries of South America where there is less rainfall and pleasant weather.

December to March - the best places to go during the summer are Chile/Argentina, comprised of south Argentina and Chile, with stunning natural beauty, large mountains, crystal-clear lakes and quaint towns. Bano in Ecuador is another lovely place to go in the summer as it’s surrounded by huge volcanoes, mountains and gardens and filled with hot springs. However, during the lovely summer months it’s also the wettest season as January to March are the wettest months.
